A detailed step by step demonstration of an overhaul
of a Marvel Schebler carburetor using an MS4SP as
an example. This video was produced for the A&P
technician as a training tool for this rather complex
job. It is well done and actually make the job look
easy.
The video goes over dissassembly of the throttle
and float sectoins (step by step, what to keep,
what to discard), cleaning and inspection (what
to inspect, types of cleaners to use, and how to
get into the er places), and reassembly (again step
by step, lubrication points, inspection, and workability).
If you are considering doing this job, the video
will show you exactly what is involved. Then once
you begin you may want to set up at your work table
to follow it through. It does assume that you have
a Precision carburetor overhaul kit and several
specialty tools available from Precision. |
